Aikido Tentokai Xalapa, start of class The name of our Dojo, Tentokai, translates from Japanese as "community approaching heaven," and the word dojo means "place of the Way." It is, therefore, a temple, where people come together in a common search for the spirit within, regardless of their religious beliefs. Aikido Tentokai Xalapa is a non-profit organization operated entirely by its members. We are affiliated with the American Aikikai Federation and the Mexican Aikido Federation, both under the technical direction of Michael Moreno Sensei, 6th dan Aikikai. The ranks awarded at our Dojo are officially recognized by the International Aikido Federation and the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Japan, which assures their acceptance worldwide.

Moriteru Ueshiba, 3rd Doshu, executing kokyunage Classes are offered daily, providing an opportunity for our members to learn in a serious and traditional way. You are cordially invited to come down and observe any of the classes in our schedule. If you then wish to practice, you will be able to take a FREE trial class before deciding whether or not to join the Dojo.
